Director of Operations

My name is Jamie, and I am the Director of Operations at Alternative Wellness Services (AWS). My job involves managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the agency. I oversee our department managers to ensure optimal business operations by providing leadership and management reflecting the core values of AWS. I started with the agency at its inception in 2014, working as a skills development specialist while pursuing my bachelor’s degree in mental health and human services. Born a leader, I was drawn to learn the skills needed in this field to effectively manage and lead the people at AWS to achieve our collective goals. Over time, I transitioned from working in the field as a case manager to overseeing our in-home support program and then to case management supervisor. In 2017, I decided to further my education and attended the University of New England and graduated in 2020 with my Master’s in Social Work. During graduate school, I became interested in substance use work and obtained my CADC. Most recently, I became a Certified Clinical Supervisor. I thoroughly enjoy my time at AWS and working alongside our innovative leaders. I stand by the mission and values of AWS and have been able to watch so many employees grow and evolve. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to beaches in Maine, and camping.
