- You can expect a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, empathetic, and safe. Our counselors arehere to offer you support utilizing evidence based treatment approaches that support you in reaching yourgoals.
- You and your clinician will complete a comprehensive needs assessment at your first appointment,Together, you will then develop an individualized treatment plan based off from the needs identified. These treatment plans will be reviewed every 90 days.
- Treatment cannot proceed if the 90 days has passed and the plan has not been signed by all parties. Initially you and your therapist will focus on building a relationship that includesmutual respect, trust and safety. This relationship is one of the most important predictors of success in therapy
- Both the clinician and the client agree to be prompt to sessions and prepared for their time together. Both agree to providing 24 hour notice whenever possible if needing to cancel or reschedule a session.
- When meeting via Telehealth you should be in a room without others present, uninterrupted and free ofdistraction to ensure privacy. Use of headphones is a great option!
- Clinicians are mandated reporters. They are to immediately initiate a report to the department of health and human services when they know or have reasonable cause to suspect that a child, elderly ault or incompsansated person has been or is likely to be abused, neglected, exploited or that a suspicious child death has occurred.
- If you are reporting intent with a plan to harm yourself or others, the clinician will respond by imploring life-saving measures beginning with least restrictive measures first.
